Mumbai: Early Sunday morning, a shootout occurred at Salman Khan’s residence in Mumbai’s Bandra area involving two assailants on a bike. Newly released CCTV footage reveals both suspects donning backpacks and hats. One individual is attired in a white T-shirt, black jacket, and denim trousers, while the other sports a red T-shirt and denim attire.
The disclosure of CCTV footage has intensified the investigation as police work to identify and arrest the suspects. The local community and the actor’s fans have naturally been shaken by this brazen act of violence, which marks a serious breach of security in one of Mumbai’s generally safe areas.
Police have also recovered a bike suspected to be used in the attack, just a kilometer away from the actor’s house, and have intensified their efforts to track down the attackers. They have released photos of the suspects from surveillance footage, which captures them opening fire at the actor’s house.
A First Information Report (FIR) has been lodged against unknown assailants on charges of attempt to murder and violation of the Arms Act. The attackers believed to be associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, fired four bullets outside Galaxy Apartments, where Salman Khan lives, and then fled the scene.
The incident follows a previous threat against Salman which came to light in March last year. An email was sent to his office, and in response, Mumbai Police filed a complaint against gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, Goldie Brar, and another person. They were charged with criminal conspiracy, criminal intimidation, and acting with common intention.
At present, the police are investigating the matter and trying to arrest the accused as soon as possible. Even before this, such incidents had happened in which some attackers had attacked in front of his house.
