In a viral video circulating on social media, Rohini Ghavri’s address at the UN sparked significant attention. In her powerful speech, she exclaimed, “Jai Shri Ram, Mr. President on behalf of India. India has always been a world leader in the field of spirituality, we come from the Valmiki community here and our Lord Valmiki introduced the whole world to Shri Ram and it also has great economic importance. It contributes to economic growth by employment generation and development of the nation. Thus, the Ayodhya Ram temple is not just a temple. A great example of the new India with both ancient and modern values. Thank you, Mr. President.”
Originally hailing from the Indore district of Madhya Pradesh. She was born on the 28th of August, she comes from the Dalit community. Her mother works as a sweeper. After a lot of hard work, Rohini earned a scholarship of Rs 1 crore from Madhya Pradesh Government. Currently, she is pursuing her PhD in Switzerland on a government scholarship. Rohini is an educationist and social worker. She is also India’s representative in the United Nations.
Although she was trolled on Twitter, she tweeted the video of her speech and said, “Jai Shri Ram wishes to all Ram devotees on behalf of #Unitednations intending to increase mutual brotherhood in our country and by Pakistan in the United Nations. On speaking negatively on the temple, listen to my reply!” After seeing the viral post, users expressed their views and shared many reactions.
