A video has gone viral on social media which has completely focused people’s attention. In the video, a girl can be seen carrying a Zomato bag wearing a jacket, and riding a bike on the roads. After watching this video, people are saying, “Now we will have to order food from Zomato only.”
A video that is making waves across social media is said to have originated in Indore, particularly in the Vijay Nagar locality. An unshelmeted young woman is seen confidently riding a motorcycle in the video. Her long hair fluttered in the wind as she sported denim shorts and a striking red jacket adorned with the Zomato logo. What’s more, she carries a Zomato delivery bag slung over her shoulder. The footage also reveals the presence of numerous spectators in the area. This video has rapidly gained immense popularity, racking up more than one million views.
The post has received a variety of reactions online, with many concerned about the woman violating road safety rules as she was riding a bike without wearing a helmet. The incident was said to be a marketing stunt to attract the attention of potential customers. Reportedly, the company hired a model for the campaign. A post on X claimed that the girl traveled with the Zomato box on her back seat twice a day, once in the morning and again in the evening. The idea was reportedly to make people who placed orders expect it to deliver their food.
As disclosed by the company, Zomato is dissociating itself from the individual in question. Deepinder Goyal, the CEO of Zomato, has requested that X make it clear that Zomato has no affiliation with the individual and does not employ anyone under the title of “Indore Marketing Head.” Moreover, Goyal insists that the company does not endorse or condone biking without a helmet.
In turn, Goyal’s post sparked a flood of jokes and comments on the incident.
