Even after a year of the murder of Ankita Bhandari in Devbhoomi, Uttarakhand, the wait for justice continues. In this case, women are demanding justice by shaving their heads, and their struggle and determination behind this deserves praise.
The demand of the CBI to investigate the murder of Ankita Bhandari is being repeated, but there is no news of justice in this case yet. State President of Mahila Congress Jyoti Rautela and General Secretary shaved their heads, and along with this many women workers marched to the Chief Minister’s residence demanding justice.
Jyoti Rautela has consistently urged both the state and central governments to request a CBI investigation into the Ankita Bhandari murder case. State Congress Committee President Karan Mahara said, the Ankita murder case is a shameful incident for humanity and tarnishes the identity of Devbhoomi Uttarakhand. For this, the culprits should be given a death sentence, so that those who commit such crimes can learn a lesson.

There is a concerning rise in incidents of violence against women, even as the government under the BJP banner promotes the slogan of “Beti Bachao Beti Padhao”. He said that the names of all the people involved in this heinous criminal incident should be disclosed. In this regard, the Congress party has demanded an investigation by the CBI. However, the Uttarakhand government is hesitant to conduct a CBI investigation to save its people.
