Recently, a horrible incident spread quickly on social media. This scandalous event is said to have happened in Madhya Pradesh when a supposed BJP employee was observed urinating on a tribal boy’s face. On July 4, this video was posted on social media, and it received a lot of negative feedback. On a precise day this incident actually took place, there remains an uncertainty.
Pravesh Shukla, a reputed close friend of BJP MLA Kedar Nath Shukla, has been recognized as the guy in the video. This claim has been made by Congress leader Abbas Hafeez. The video shows Shukla smoking while urinating on the face of the individual. The Wire has watched the video and is deliberately not sharing it. The way BJP politicians act towards a destitute tribal person while claiming to represent the interests of the indigenous people is quite unpleasant. This act is highly condemnable.
Shukla was taken into custody late on Tuesday evening, according to NDTV. He has been accused of violating the Indian Penal Code’s pertinent relevant parts, the National Security Act, and the Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.
Several responses to the popular video have been spotted on social media. A Twitter user named Lalaa tweeted, “Don’t jump to conclusions, in the case of Shivrampur, a person named Vikas Sharma had committed suicide. These people were criminals only when they were Dalits, today they are Brahmins.”
Similarly, a user named Mushahid commented on the video, “JCB is kept only for Muslims, deceptive government.” Meanwhile, Aam Aadmi Party leader Narender Balyan referred to Pravesh Shukla as ‘Satan’.
The Madhya Pradesh police have registered a case against Pravesh Shukla under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has pledged to take strict action, including invoking the National Security Act.
In a tweet, Chouhan stated, “I have learned of a trending video from the Sidhi area… I’ve given the government the go-ahead to detain the offender, take stern measures, and implement the National Security Act.
State Congress President Kamal Nath expressed his displeasure and demanded severe punishment for the accused, while also calling for an end to atrocities against tribal people in Madhya Pradesh. According to the political scenario, the former Chief Minister said, “This incident has brought shame to the entire Madhya Pradesh… The guilty person should be given the harshest punishment, and atrocities against tribal people should be stopped in Madhya Pradesh.”
