A young man in China was caught urinating on the lift buttons in CCTV footage. This video has been going viral on social media these days. It is a highly disgusting act. Lifts are quite useful in our daily lives. They quickly take us to tall buildings without the need to climb long stairs.
However, some people make fun of even this. In China, a young boy who was riding the lift urinated on the button panel as a joke, but he immediately faced the consequences and got stuck inside. This incident reflects the saying, ‘As you sow, so shall you reap.’
In the closed-circuit TV footage, it is shown that the boy, before aiming, leaves a stream of urine towards the button panel and ensures that he covers as many buttons as possible. Once he finishes, he quickly zips up and starts to exit, but the lift stops right there. In a panic situation, he jumps up and down and presses the buttons, which flicker in complete darkness before potentially trapping the lift. Perhaps due to the presence of cameras inside the lift, maintenance staff might have saved him.
However, this is an extremely disgusting act. Things that are essential in our daily lives should not be made a part of our jokes. He did this act in jest, but it could have cost him his life. If there were no CCTV cameras inside the lift, who knows how long he would have been trapped inside, and maybe even lost his life.
