One of the most expensive houses in the world was recently acquired by Indian business tycoon Pankaj Oswal and his wife Radhika. According to the Times of India, the villa named Villa La Vaire in the Swiss village of Ginges-Canton, also known as Verrières-le-Buisson, has a value of $200 million (approximately ₹1,649 crore) in the name of their daughter Vasundhara and Riddhi.
This 40,000 square meter villa, one of the world’s top 10 most expensive houses, boasts stunning views of Mount Blanc. Renovated by renowned interior designer Jeffrey Wilkes, it reflects the Oswal family’s preferences and aesthetics, showcasing his work on the Oberoi Rajvilas, Oberoi Udaivilas, and Leela Hotels.
The Oswal family resettled from Australia to Switzerland in 2013. They currently reside in Villa Very in Switzerland, which is considered one of the most expensive houses in the world with a value of ₹1,649 crore, according to TOI. As mentioned earlier, this magnificent property offers stunning views of Mount Blanc and is conveniently located just 15 minutes away from the city of Geneva. The villa, previously owned by the daughter of Greek shipping magnate Aristotelis Onassis, has been given a new look.
Designer Jeffrey Wilkes revealed that Oswal requested the incorporation of interior elements that pay tribute to their Indian heritage while also encompassing a cosmopolitan beauty. According to TOI, the Oswal family’s total wealth is $3 billion (approximately ₹247,000 crores). Abhay Kumar Oswal, an industrialist who passed away in 2016, is the father of Pankaj Oswal. He married Radhika Oswal 25 years ago, and they have two daughters, Vasundhara (24 years old) and Riddhi (19 years old).
The Oswal Group Global possesses a notable business portfolio, including petrochemicals, real estate, fertilizers, and mining operations in Africa, India, Australia, and Switzerland. The group operates various ventures, such as Pro Industries PTY Limited, a major ethanol producer in Africa.
In addition, they own Axis Minerals, which holds a large bauxite mine with a total reserve of 844 million tons. The group’s business portfolio also includes Australia-based company Burrup Fertilizers, one of the world’s largest producers of liquid ammonia.
The couple has two daughters. Vasundhara Oswal is the elder daughter of the Indian-origin couple. After obtaining a finance degree from the University of Switzerland, she currently works as an executive director at Pro Industries PTY Limited and serves as a director at Axis Minerals. Riddhi, who is 19 years old, is currently pursuing a degree in chemical engineering at a university in London.
