A 24-year-old young woman reportedly died unexpectedly on Sunday during a fashion show in a studio in Noida’s Film City when an electric pole collapsed on her. She has been identified as Vanshika Chopra, a local of Gaur City-2 in Greater Noida.
Vanshika was one of the volunteers taking part in the activity, according to the authorities. Bobby Raj, a different volunteer from Agra, suffered an injury in the event.
The woman was standing close to the stage during the fashion show when an electric pole collapsed on her head, causing her death, according to an investigation. The fashion show’s organizers and the lighting truss team are being investigated by cops.
Shakti Avasthi, an additional deputy commissioner of police (Noida), stated that four suspects have been detained and are under investigation. We’ll file a complaint after the investigation, he declared.
According to the cops, on Sunday at 1:30 PM, a fashion show was being held in a studio near Noida Film City’s Sector 20 police station. The injured person is receiving medical attention at Sector 27’s Kailash Hospital while the body has been transported for a post-mortem.
According to a police officer, the woman’s brother filed a complaint, and as a result, the police have prioritized Section 304A of the Indian Penal Code (causing death through negligence) against unidentified people. Additionally, the woman’s brother complained to the studio’s management about how the show was run.
The officer declared, “We will look into the situation and learn more about the people who were involved in the prioritized acts. Around 150 people were reportedly present in the studio when the event was being planned, according to the police. An aspiring model was invited to the regular fashion show. We are seeking to get recordings from the attendees as there was no CCTV camera in the room.
