Rohit Sharma is the captain of the Indian cricket team across all three game formats. However, at the moment, he seems to be pretty much focused played only ODIs and Test format, keeping the ICC WTC final and ICC ODI World Cup 2023 in mind.
Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma was part of the ongoing Border Gavaskar Trophy series. Under his captaincy, India won the first Test against Australia by an innings and 132 runs in Nagpur and drew the first blood in the Border Gavaskar Trophy series.
Later, they went on to win the second Test in Delhi by six wickets at Arun Jaitley Stadium and retained the Border Gavaskar Trophy. Australia beat India in the third Test at Holkar Cricket Stadium in Indore whereas the fourth and final Test ended in a draw at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
India retained the Border Gavaskar Trophy and won the series by 2-1. They have also qualified for the World Test Championship and they will take on Australia in the WTC Final 2023 on June 7 at The Oval in London.

Case in point, Rohit Sharma is currently playing in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023. The Mumbai Indians captain seems to be ticking the boxes as a captain but has failed to deliver the goods as a batsman in the ongoing season of the IPL.
Rohit Sharma was dismissed for a three-ball duck against Punjab Kings. He was dismissed by Rishi Dhawan in the third ball of the first over. After his dismissal, PBKS admin trolled Rohit Sharma by writing, “R0” on the Twitter portal.
In response, Mumbai Indians admin wrote, “Rohit Sharma 🏆 x 6️⃣KXIP 🏆 x 0️⃣PBKS 🏆 x 0️⃣#Respect”
