Alia Bhatt’s gives ‘DUMB’ answer when asked why Holi was celebrated
Few years ago, during an award function, a reporter asked the actress, “Alia, do you know why Holi is celebrated?” Initially, she ignored the question and goes inside the venue but then she prefers to return and give it back to him and asked him, “Do you know who is South Africa’s President? Or Singapore President? China’s President?” She further pointed a finger at the reporter, threatening, “Don’t ask if you don’t know, bro.”
Earlier, Alia confessed that she doesn’t remember what she read in the books in her school. However, at the same time, she remembers her interactions with the teachers and students.
“My father says ‘rather be stupid than pretend to be intelligent.’ I had this interview on 23rd July when somebody asked me who is the President of India and I was like right now the ceremony hasn’t happened yet, so I am not sure what to say.
So I would rather not say anything… In my defence, for the millionth time, I knew who the President of India was (in 2013). It was just confusing. You put anybody in the spot and ask them to give an answer, all wrong answers come out.”
