Urfi Javed was recently ridiculed mercilessly for wearing a bra at the Mumbai airport. Urfi’s fashion taste and style were questioned by netizens, who labelled it a PR ploy. Urfi then clarified, saying if she simply wanted exposure, she would have gone to the airport without clothing, while also expressing her annoyance that people speak about her outfits instead of talking about her.
Urfi recently told Aaj Tak that she has received multiple death threats for dressing up the way she wants to because she is a muslim. She claims that she is frequently urged to dress in a burqa and hijab. They, on the other hand, are unconcerned. She claims that if they want to issue a fatwa, they must go ahead and do so; she would dress in such attire.
She claims that by responding, she is being threatened with rape and death, despite the fact that she has done no harm to anyone. Urfi claims that she has enraged the entire Muslim community and asked to convert to another faith.
“There is an image about Muslim women that they should be in hijab. When those people see me wearing a bikini, they are very upset. The whole community is angry with me. I am Muslim and I am proud. I am a girl and live according to my own will, so should I change my religion? People keep telling me to change religion. No matter what happens, I am not going to change religion. Anyway, I believe in humanity more than religion.”
Urfi Javed Slams Chetan Bhagat For Accusing Her Of Distracting Boys
Meanwhile, Urfi Javed made the headlines recently after she slammed the author Chetan Bhagat as the latter had mentioned her name out of context during a literature event. He took her name while speaking young boys who are immensely addicted to social media and the internet.
“Phone has been a great distraction for the youth, especially the boys, spending hours just watching Instagram Reels. Everyone knows who Uorfi Javed is. What will you do with her photos? Is it coming in your exams or you will go for a job interview and tell the interviewer that you know all her outfits?”
“Ek India ka jawan vo hai jo Kargil pe baith ke desh ki raksha kar raha hai. Ek humara youth ye hai jo bistaron mein ghus ke Uorfi Javed ki photos dekh raha hai.” (On one side, there is a youth who is protecting our nation at Kargil and on another side, we have another youth who is seeing Uorfi Javed’s photos hiding in their blankets)
Urfi Javed slams the author by saying, “I don’t understand one thing, what was the need to mention my name at a literature festival, I’m not an author, mera koi lena dena nahi,”
“Also you said meri wajah se youth kharab ho raha hai, chup chup ke log mere post dekhte hai. Chalo aap toh bade ho, youth chodho aap toh mere uncle ke umar ke ho, baap ki umar ke ho, aap shaadi-shuda hone ke bawajudh apne se aadhi umar ke ladkiyo ko kyu message kar rahe the? Tab kuch kharab nahi ho raha tha aapka? Na aapki shaadi kharab ho rahi thi, na aapke bache kharab ho rahe the yeh sab harkatein karke.”
She also posted an Instagram story that reads, “Guys, let’s not forget how so many women accused him during the Me Too case.”
“Men like him will always blame the women than accepting their own shortcomings. Just because you’re a pervert doesn’t mean it’s the girl’s fault or what is she wearing. Unnecessarily dragging me in a conversation, commenting on how my clothes are distracting young boys is such as f***ed thing to say. You messaging girls isn’t a distraction for them? @chetanbhagat”.
“Stop promoting rape culture you sickos out there. Blaming women’s clothes for the behaviour of men is so 80s Mr. @chetanbhagat. Who was distracting you when you messaged girls half of your age? Always blame the opposite gender, never accept your own shortcomings or faults. People like you are misguiding the youth, not me. Encouraging men to put the blame on the women or her clothing when are at fault.”
After Urfi Javed’s allegations Mr. Bhagat called the allegations fake, he tweeted, “Have never spoken to/chatted with/met/ known someone where it’s being spread that I have done so. It’s fake. a lie. also a Non issue. Haven’t criticised anyone. And I also think there’s nothing wrong in telling people to stop wasting time on Instagram and focus on fitness and career.”
