Former Indian captain Virat Kohli is currently in Australia for the eighth edition of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 tournament. So far, India have played three games in the Super 12 of the marquee event.
Overall, India won two games and lost once, with their defeat coming against South Africa in yesterday’s encounter at Perth Stadium in Perth.
The Men in Blue started their campaign with a win over Pakistan by 4 wickets at MCG. They gained confidence from the win and went on to beat the Netherlands in the second game at SCG.
Meanwhile, India failed to execute their plans while taking on South Africa. Proteas were superb in terms of batting, bowling and fielding and as a result, they beat India by six wickets with two balls to spare.
After the game, an unusual incident happened inside Virat Kohli’s private hotel room. One of the die-hard fans of the run-machine sneaked into Kohli’s room and then captured the entire thing on his mobile.
He also leaked the video clip on his Instagram handle stating that it’s “King Kohli’s room”. The video went viral on the internet and it angered Kohli in the first place, with the veteran questioning that there is no privacy in his hotel room.
“I understand that fans get very happy and excited seeing their favourite players and get excited to meet them and I’ve always appreciated that. But this video here is appalling and it’s made me feel very paranoid about my privacy,” Kohli wrote in his Instagram post.
“If I cannot have privacy in my own hotel room, then where can I really expect any personal space at all?? I’m NOT okay with this kind of fanaticism and absolute invasion of privacy. Please respect people’s privacy and not treat them as a commodity for entertainment,” he added.
