Former Indian skipper MS Dhoni has been away from the game for quite a while now. He was last seen in action during the fifteenth edition of the cash-rich Indian Premier League.
MS Dhoni is well-known for his astute captaincy, wicketkeeping, batting traits, swift stumping, quick running between the wickets, last ball six, helicopter shots, ICC trophies and so on. His contribution to Indian cricket is so good that it cannot be put in words.
Dhoni’s last ever international appearance came against New Zealand in the ICC World Cup 2019 semi-final. He retired from all forms of international cricket on August 15, 2020. The news was confirmed by MS Dhoni himself through the Instagram post. MS Dhoni has represented India in 90 Tests, 350 ODIs and 98 T20Is.
He might have retired from international cricket. He has been actively playing in India’s franchise cricket competition. He was the most successful captain of the Indian national cricket team. Under his captaincy, India won three ICC titles namely ICC T20 World Cup 2007, ICC ODI World Cup 2011 and ICC Champions Trophy 2013.
Besides that, he has also been one of the most successful skippers in the Indian Premier League. Under his tutelage, Chennai Super Kings have won as many as four titles. CSK are the second-most successful team in the competition.
MS Dhoni will be next seen in cricketing action in the sixteenth edition of the IPL. He still has a few more years of cricket left in him. It was good to see him hitting sixes and fours in the last edition. Besides that, he showcased his wicketkeeping traits in the best scene.

MS Dhoni used to be regularly active on the Twitter platform. A decade ago, he used to chip in with interesting tweets every now and then to engage with his fans and followers.
Meanwhile, one of his haters tried to advise MS Dhoni to concentrate on his batting. To which, MS Dhoni came up with a savage reply to silence the hater. “@msdhoni plzz concentrate on ur batting not in twitter,” the user wrote. To which, MS Dhoni replied, “sir yes sir, any tips sir”.
