India is the largest producer of movies in the entire world. Bollywood, Kollywood, Tollywood, Sandalwood, Mollywood and other regional cinema industries together produce more movies than any nation in the world.
However, there is no hiding from the fact that Tollywood and Sandalwood have been producing blockbuster movies. Films like Baahubali 1, Baahubali 2, RRR, Pushpa part 1, KGF 1, and KGF 2 have received tremendous responses from fans all across the country.
Meanwhile, Dangal is the highest-grossing Indian movie worldwide at the global box office. The film fetched a staggering record of Rs 2024 crore. Baahubali 2 follows next on the list while RRR comes third on the list respectively. Meanwhile, KGF 2 occupied the fourth spot.
In fact, KGF: Chapter 2 went on to beat RRR by a close margin. The second part of KGF earned ₹1,250 crore whereas RRR earned ₹1,200 crore. KGF: Chapter 2 and RRR surpassed the record of Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Secret Superstar.
Bajrangi Bhaijaan’s worldwide collection is reportedly estimated at Rs 969 crores and it’s placed at the fifth spot whereas Secret Superstar’s global collection is Rs 977 crores (sixth spot).
PK comes at the seventh spot while Rajinikanth’s 2.0 comes at the eighth spot. On the other hand, Sanju and Sultan follow ninth and tenth on the list respectively. All these movies performed well in the long run.
