Ashneer Grover is the co-founder/ managing director at BharatPe, an Indian-based electronic payment app. After completing his MBA, he worked as the vice president in Kotak Financing Bank till 2013, when he left to take up the position of the Director of Corporate Development at American Express.
He left American Express in 2015 to work as the Chief. Financial Officer of Grofers till 2017 when he left to join PC Jeweller Limited. It was only after 2018 that he became a business owner.
Many of the Shark Tank judges have managed to achieve success in their founding companies at a time when such a show was not around. Most of the judges are self-made successes that had to struggle before they owned million-dollar businesses.
Sippline’s Rohit savagely roasts Shark Tank India’s Ashneer Grover
Meanwhile, the founder of Sippline brutally trolled Ashneer Grover during an episode at Shark Tank India. Ashneer had told him, “Mereko bhagwan utha le, itna ganda product hai yeh. Iske baad main kuch nahi dekhna chahta life mein (Translation: God kill me now, such a bad product. After this, I don’t want to see anything else in my life now).”
Rohit, while promoting his product on social media had repeated Ashneer’s ‘bhagwan utha le’ dialogue. As per the video, Rohit can be heard saying, “Abhi bas ek hi question ‘Glass ganda hai toh kya karun (There’s only one question now, ‘What to do if the glass is dirty)?'”
He further added, “Hey Bhagwan, utha le mujhe (Oh God, kill me).” Sharing that it’s a joke, Rohit said, “Nahi nahi bhai mazak kar raha tha (I was just joking).” Post taking a dig at Ashneer, Rohit went on to explain his product.
