When we see the glamorous and luxurious life of celebrities, it gets hard for us to see that most of them had a normal life before they were famous. Most of them were working normal jobs trying to make ends meet. Some, however, had the honour and privilege of serving their country.
Yes, some of these glamorous people have gone through the rigorous training and hard life of a soldier. Most of us feel all kinds of emotions when we watch our favourite celebrities portraying the hard life of a soldier.

1. Achyut Potdar:
Before establishing himself as one of Bollywood’s most promising performers in movies like Lage Raho Munna Bhai, 3 idiots, and Dabang, Achyut Potdar served as a Captain in the Indian Army, before retiring in 1967.
2. Gufi Paintal:
Gufi Paintal is known for his unforgettable performance as Shakuni in the Television series, Mahabharata which aired between 1988 to 1990. Before Gufi switched to an acting career after following his younger brother, he served as a captain in the Indian Army.
3. Rudrashish Majumder:
Rudrashish Majumder served as a Major in the Indian Army for a total of seven years. After serving his term, Rudrashish went on to make it big in Bollywood, where he acted in movies like Chhichhore, Mrs. Undercover, Hawa Singh and Lost in Tollywood. He also went on to do several commercials for Coke and MG Hector.
4. Anand Bakshi:
Anand Bakshi, one of the top lyricists in India, joined the Indian Navy in 1944 and allegedly joined the Indian Army after relocating to Delhi.
Anand is known for having achieved great success in the field of lyricism. He was nominated for the Filmfare award for Best lyricist 40 times and took home the title 4 times.
5. Rehman:
Rehman, much to his fans’ surprise, served as a pilot in the Indian Air Force. He later quit his profession to pursue a career in acting.
Rehman is regarded as one of the great actors of the golden age, appearing in legendary films like Pardes, Pyaasa, Badi Behen, Waqt, Jeet, and many more.
6. Bikramjeet Kanwarpal:
As the son of an Indian Army Officer, Bikramjeet joined the Indian Army in 1989 and retired as a Major in the Army in 2002.
He soon made his debut in Bollywood in 2003, where he was appreciated and applauded for his performances. Bikramjeet’s performance as a supporting role in films like Murder 2, Don, and Grand Maasti has gained him immense fame in this field.
