1. Mohammed Azharuddeen:
The former Indian team captain was a hot topic of debate for quite a long time because of his fixing scandal. He made his debut as a cricketer in 1984 and since then has been capped for 99 tests and 334 One Day Internationals. He was highly appraised due to his fluid style of batting but was considered a better slip fielder.
His first wife was Naureen who was a 16-year-old girl from Hyderabad. They had two sons but filed for divorce after 9 years of marriage. His second wife was Sangeeta Bijlani who he was already seeing at the time of divorce with his first wife. However, the union did not last long as well ending it after 14 years of being together. Reportedly the pair split up due to his ongoing affair with the Badminton player Jwala Gutta
2. Vinod Kambli:
Vinod and Sachin Tendulkar were best of friends and trained under the same coach Ramakant Achrekar. He and Sachin together made 664 runs which are still remembered by fans. He also holds 2 impressive unbeaten records by any Indian Cricketer having the highest career batting average of 54 in Test matches.
He holds the fastest record to reach 1000 runs in Test matches by any Indian in a record of 14 innings. But his career as an international cricketer was short despite his early success. His first wife was Neolla Lewis with whom he tied the knot with in 1998. She used to work as a hotel receptionist in Hotel Blue Diamond, Pune. After separation, he married Andrea Hewitt and had a son in 2010.
3. Javagal Srinath:
This fast bowler hails from Karnataka and is remembered as one of the best bowlers in the Indian team. Currently, he is an ICC match referee and holds the record for the first Indian bowler to have scaled more than 300 dismissals in the One Day Internationals.
In 1999, Javagal married Jyothsna but in 2007 they mutually agreed to separate. The following year in 2008 he got married to Madhavi Patravali who was a journalist by profession and worked as a copy editor in The English Daily.
4. Yograj Singh:
The former Indian cricketer belonged to a Sikh family. He had a very short-lived career as an international cricketer. He played just 1 test match and 6 One Day Internationals. It was reported that his career came to an end due to an injury that he had sustained that deemed him unable to play further.
He was also involved in a cheap publicity stunt with Kapil Dev and has often blamed him for not supporting him in his time of need. However, after exiting the team he shifted his focus towards acting and one of his most memorable roles is that of Farhan Akhtar’s coach in the movie ‘ Bhaag Milkha bhaag’.
Yograj married his first wife Shabnam who belonged to a Muslim family but the marriage did not last and they eventually split. His second marriage with Satveer Kaur was successful and had two kids with her.
5. Dinesh Karthik:
Dinesh made his debut back in 2004 but had a rollercoaster of a career with many ups and downs along the way. He was even dropped from the team in 2007 and made extremely rare appearances since. He was kept as a reserve wicketkeeper for all the formats of the game.
In 2018 he went on to replace Gautam Gambhir as the captain of Kolkata Knight Riders. He has played in 150 International matches. Even in his personal life, Dinesh faced the same irregularities as his professional life.
In 2007, he married his childhood crush Nikita Vanjara but the two reportedly split due to her affair with his fellow teammate. In 2015, he tied the knot with the national level squash player Dipika Pallikal.
