How much did Samantha charge for 3-minute dance number?
Meanwhile, the latest reports claimed she was paid more than that. According to a report by IWMBuzz, she charged Rs 5 crores. Yes, you read it right! Some top actors don’t even charge this much for a movie but Samantha got paid 5 crores for a 3-minute dance.
A source told the portal, “Oh, she has charged a bomb for the Oo Antava dance number. Believe me, she was very reluctant. The film’s leading man Allu Arjun personally took the effort to convince her.”
The source also added, “They had to pay her close to Rs 5 crores for that 3-minute dance number. She had some reservations about some of the dance movements. But gradually she got into the groove and didn’t demand that even one step be changed.”
Earlier, she was in the news for parting ways with Naga Chaitanya. In an interview with Filmfare, Samantha added, “It’s ok if you are having a bad day, vocalize it, understand it, as soon as you accept that you’re going through something half the work is done. It’s when we don’t want to accept it and we are fighting it that it’s a never-ending battle.
“But when you accept when you vocalize ‘this is my issue, so what now? I still have to live my life’. I know I’m still going to live my life and with all the issues that I now face in my personal life, I was surprised at how strong I was.
“I thought I was a much weaker person. I thought that with my separation, I would crumble and die. I didn’t think I was capable of being this strong…Today I’m very very proud of how strong I’m because I really didn’t know I was,” she added.
