Sai Pallavi, a popular South Indian actress hogged the limelight after she performed the role of a teacher- ‘Malar’ in the Malayalam movie ‘Premam’, which was her debut film in 2015. She also voluntarily cut her remuneration.
Samantha
Samantha is one of the top pan India actresses at the moment. She charges up to Rs 2 crore for a movie. However, due to the pandemic, she also voluntarily cut her wages.
Nayanthara
Nayanthara began her career as a TV host and debuted on the small screen with the show Chamayam. She then kick-started work on her first film, Manassinakkare, directed by Sathyan Anthikad, in 2003. Today, she is one of the top actresses in Kollywood. She has also made huge cuts in her salary. Previously, she used to take remuneration of Rs 3 crore.
Kriti Shetty
She announced her arrival in the film industry with Uppena. She has decided to take up to Rs 30 lakh for the second film. Needless to say, reports now say that she demanded around Rs 50 lakh for her next project. However, she will only receive Rs 30 to 40 lakh owing to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Anushka Shetty
Anushka Shetty is one of the top actresses in India. She used to get a salary of Rs 3 crore for a film. Nevertheless, it seems that the range has dropped to lakhs for obvious reasons.
Rakul Preet Singh
Rakul has also announced a cut in her salary and it has declined from crores to lakhs.
