While our Bollywood celebrity couples have provided us with love goals, we’ve also witnessed a number of them go their own ways on a serious note. Some have resorted to public platforms to vent their rage at their ex-partners, while others have made dubious statements about them in media interviews.
In case you missed it, here are 5 Bollywood celebrities who have publicly slammed their ex-partners.
Shilpa Shetty
Shilpa Shetty and Akshay Kumar’s romance storey had been all the rage in the 1990s. During the 1994 filming of ‘Main Khiladi Tu Anari,’ flashes flashed between them. In any event, they parted ways in 2000 on a bad note.
Akshay was allegedly double-crossing her with his now-wife Twinkle Khanna, according to the actress. Shilpa chastised Akshay for allegedly undermining her in an interview with a leading publication.
She also stated that she will never perform with him again and that she is relieved to be free of him. When asked if she is furious with Twinkle, Shilpa responded that she considers Twinkle to be somewhat innocent and that she does not believe Twinkle is responsible for Akshay’s poor conduct.
Sajid Khan
During the filming of ‘Housefull 2,’ Sajid Khan and Jacqueline Fernandez were clearly head over heels. Despite speculations that they were getting married, Sajid and Jacqueline went their own ways on a negative note.
While Jacqueline criticised the director for being too possessive, Sajid admitted that the actress had started to irritate him.
In an interview with Times of India in 2014, Sajid Khan said, “While we broke up in May 2013, in reality right from December 2012, it started becoming sour. So you are already preparing your mind in those five months.
Also, when you don’t have a woman in your life, you don’t have someone constantly nagging you, so you end up working better and are more focused. I went for a holiday with her for five days in the middle of making Himmatwala and felt so bad when the film didn’t do well.”
Aishwarya Rai
We are all aware of Aishwarya Rai’s romance with Salman Khan, as well as their separation. On the set of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam,’ the performers apparently grew close.
In a throwback interview with TOI, Aishwarya said, “Salman and I broke up last March, but he isn’t able to come to terms with it…After we broke up, he would call me and talk rubbish. He also suspected me of having affairs with my co-stars.
I was linked up with everyone, from Abhishek Bachchan to Shah Rukh Khan. There were times when Salman got physical with me, luckily without leaving any marks. And, I would go to work as if nothing had happened. Salman hounded me and caused physical injuries to himself when I refused to take his calls.”
Shahid Kapoor
Before they split up and went their separate ways, Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor were one of Bollywood’s most adored and desired couples. Despite the fact that Shahid and Kareena shared the casing in ‘Udta Punjab’ after their split, they didn’t share screen time.
When asked if he might work with Kareena again on a chat programme, Shahid replied, “I would like to work with her again. I feel that as an actor if my producer wants me to romance a cow or a buffalo also, I’ll do it because that’s my job.”
Kangana Ranaut
After their very public breakup, Kangana Ranaut and Hrithik Roshan made headlines. The woman from ‘Krrish 3’ was plainly associated with Hrithik, despite the actor’s denials to this day.
Kangana spoke out to a journalist and asked if Hrithik was her ex, which started the whole thing. “Yes, many lame rumours are doing rounds, even a dumb ass can tell where these rumours are coming from. I don’t know why exes do silly things to get your attention. For me, that chapter is over and I don’t dig graves.”
