A 25-year-old lady from Muzaffarnagar who was divorced through triple talaq committed suicide after her husband posted an indecent video of her on social media.
According to police reports, the event occurred on Saturday in Kishanpur village, which is within the jurisdiction of the Bhopa Police Station.
The two were married four years ago and had an 18-month-old son, according to SHO Deepak Chaturvedi.
The accused left his wife three months ago by proclaiming triple talaq, after which she relocated with her parents in Kishanpur village with their son.
The lady alleged her husband of issuing quick triple talaq and unlawfully taking their son away from her in a police complaint filed on August 18.
During the investigation, an indecent video of the lady was reportedly distributed on social media by the accused, they claimed, adding that the woman committed suicide simply by consuming poison.
