Baahubali: The Conclusion is the first Indian film to gross over a billion rupees. The film was so well-liked that it was adopted as a wedding style in Kerala. This is the second instalment of the film, which was released over 4 years ago.
The makers approached many known Bollywood actors for this film but they refused to do this film. Today, we will talk about the actors who lost the golden ticket to work in the superhit film.
The following is a list of actors that initially turned down the film for various reasons and now regret their decision:
Hrithik Roshan
The film was originally intended to be released only in Bollywood and Hrithik Roshan was offered the main role. Rajamouli, the director, does not divulge the entire plot of the film he directs before the actors commit, and he also wants the actors to ensure that they do not take on any other commitments while working on his film. Hrithik turned down the film in favour of Mohenjo-Daro.
John Abraham
It could have been entertaining to see John Abraham in a villain role. Rajamouli had submitted the script to John because he was his first pick for the role of Bhallaladeva. He awarded the part to Rana Daggubati, his other best candidate, after waiting several days and receiving no response.
Mohanlal
There were rumours that Mohanlal, the face of the Malayalam cinema industry, had been promised a role in the film as Kattapa. Because Mohanlal didn’t have any dates available to work in bulk, the role was assigned to Sathyaraja.
Nayanthara
The South Indian beauty was also contacted for the role of Devsena, but she declined due to prior obligations, and Anushka Shetty was cast in her place.
Vivek Oberoi
Bhallaladeva role was also offered to Vivek Oberoi, the king of nasty characters. However, the actor had a lot of other commitments at the time, so he turned down the film.
Sonam Kapoor
Sonam Kapoor was sought for the role of Avantika because the film was originally intended to be released just in Bollywood. However, the filmmaker required full-time work for the film for a period of two years, which Sonam turned down.
Sridevi
When Rajamouli approached Sridevi about playing Rajamata Sivagami Devi, she demanded a large sum of money, as well as an entire floor at a five-star hotel and business class tickets from Mumbai to Hyderabad. When Rajamouli couldn’t meet the demands, Sridevi turned down the film.
