Rape is the fourth most common crime in India. The level of rape cases in our nation rose alarmingly. It is learnt that most of the rape cases were committed by someone known to the victim.
Recent incident:
In Jharkhand, a 9th class student was brutally raped by two men named Sameer Khan and Monu Khan. The shocking incident took place in Hussainabad in Palamu district of Jharkhand.
Both accused have been arrested by police for committing a heinous crime. These two youths had gang-raped the girl for 3 days in an unconscious state. The victim has been admitted to the Medinikaya Medical College for a medical checkup. Rapists have been sent to Central Jail in Palamu.
According to the media report, on 10 December, the girl had gone to attend a birthday party, but both the accused seduced her and took her along with him. When the girl went missing, the family started looking for her. The police were informed of the failure and a case was registered.
On December 12, the girl somehow escaped from the clutches of the accused and reached her home in a disgraceful state and she was immediately admitted to the hospital after seeing her condition. When she regained consciousness late at night, she narrated the whole matter to the family. After this, the police recorded her statement.
The girl said that Sameer Khan, a resident of Syed Toli, and Monu Hussain, a resident of a long street, seduced her and took her on a motorcycle to the government building near the subdivision office where they injected her and raped her for 3 days.
Hussainabad police station in-charge Ajay Kumar said that on the basis of the victim’s statement, a case has been registered against both the accused and they have also been sent to jail in judicial custody on Sunday. Earlier, a case of the girl’s missing was registered on the complaint of the girl’s father.
