In a horrific incident, a 16-year-old Hindu boy was killed by Muslims in New Azimabad Colony under the Bahadurpur police station area in Patna. The body of the deceased was found with slit throat at an isolated place in New Azimabad Colony in Patna, Bihar.
It has been reported that the boy was called by his girlfriend at around 2 o’clock at night where he was beheaded by her brothers. The shocking incident has sparked outrage among the Hindu community.
The victim, identified as Anshu Kumar, used to work as a delivery boy with a private firm. He was in a relationship with a girl who resides near his house in Sandalpur area. His family members said that he left the house around 1 am on Sunday after he received a call from his girlfriend. Around 7 am, they were informed by locals that his body was lying in a pool of blood along the road in the locality.
Expressing their anger over the murder, some locals gathered at the local police station and demanded that the now-deceased teenager’s girlfriend and her brother be immediately arrested for the murder. They also blocked the road, committed arson and pelted the house of the suspects with stones, according to a report by The Times of India.
The brother of the victim said that Anshu recently received threatening calls from his girlfriend’s brother named Arman Malik.
“Prima facie, love affair seems to be the reason behind the murder. The call detail record of Anshu’s phone will throw more light on the incident,” City SP (East) Jitendra Kumar told TOI.
Police have arrested the girl and her brother for interrogation and an investigation into the case is underway.
