There is no hiding from the fact that some extremist youth from Muslim community are involved in the heinous practice of Love Jihad, an alleged effort made by them only to target beautiful and rich women belonging to non-Muslim communities for religious conversion to Islam by ‘fake love’.
They understand girls’ behaviour and study them completely before utilising emotional appeals by using charm to attract girls into conversion by simulating love. Some Mosques in India are allegedly providing training and fund to handsome boys for the cause.
This infamous concept first came to light in India in the year 2009 with alleged conversions in Kerala and Karnataka. Slowly, it started to spread across all states of the country.
Another case of love jihad has emerged from Bahra village under Hazaribagh district of Jharkhand. It is being told that a Muslim young man trapped a Dalit widow in #LoveJihad and made physical relations with her after presenting himself as Arjuna, a Hindu man.
When the woman asked to get married, he put up condition of religious conversion. He said that if the woman wanted to marry him, she would have to convert to Islam. The young man was identified as Mohammad Rahim.
Police have registered a case against Mohammad Rahim on the complaint of the woman. During the course of the investigation, Police found that the youth hails from Muzaffarpur district of Bihar.
The victim from Bahera village approached the police station where she told them that Rahim pretended to be Hindu. He hid his identity from me and told me his name Arjun. It has been reported that the two had a fight several times, but Rahim continued talking to her. The woman refused to talk to him many times, but after becoming Arjun, Rahim promised to marry her. On seeing this, the widow fell in love with him.
According to the woman, on November 15, Rahim reached her home and made a physical relationship with her for 5 consecutive days. On 20 November, when he started leaving the house without talking about marriage, the victim asked him to get married. Rahim then revealed his intent and purpose. He said that if a woman wants to marry him, she should first accept Islam. He revealed that his name is Rahim and he is Muslim, so he will not marry her unless she accepts Islam.
