The day before Diwali, the Uri Sector of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district witnessed intense shelling and firing from the Pakistan Army throughout the day, targeting around eight villages close to the LoC.
“I managed to pick up my four children just in time. If I was just four minutes late, they would have died as a shell exploded near a construction site near our house, leaving two dead,” a local resident said.
Eleven persons, including six local people, four Army soldiers and one BSF jawan, were killed and over 20 others injured in incessant firing by Pakistan on the Line of Control (LoC) in four different regions, only to disturb peace in Diwali.
Meanwhile, a group of hackers inflicted much damage on Pakistan. Indian Cyber Troops, this is what the group calls itself, has hacked over 200 Pak websites to give them a Diwali gift in return. We are dropping a list of hacked sites we found (some may have been recovered by the time you read the article)
