India is a place where people from all religions are allowed to live happily. People are free to follow their religion. India gives full freedom of jurisdiction to the mosques and respects the religious sentiments of the minorities. But Muslims are not free to follow their religion in China.
In yet another shocking incident, a mosque in Xinjiang, China is being used as a toilet. The incident took place in the Atush region of Xinjiang. It has been learnt that the mosque in the Suntagh village was demolished in 2018. Two years later, a public toilet has been built at this place. The people of Suntagh have toilets at home and the village barely receives tourists, so locals say there is no need for the public toilet.
Chinese authorities are also aware of the matter that’s why the new stalls have not even been opened to the public. The bitter truth is China wants to target the Uighur Muslims of Xinjiang. This is not the first time when China has defamed the Islamic community by destroying the mosque. According to reports, China has destroyed 70 per cent of the mosques in Xinjiang and with this toilet, it is only adding insult to injury.
In 2019, China vandalized the Azna mosque and now a store that sells alcohol and cigarettes has come up in its place. In the Hotan city, authorities are set to build an underwear factory in the place of a demolished mosque. Beijing has destroyed between 10,000 to 15,000 mosques in Xinjiang in the last three years, according to the Uighur human rights project.
Even the satellite pictures reveal that thousands of mosques have been destroyed in China in the last three years. China might be an all-weather ally to Pakistan but the manner in which they are treating Muslims in their country is horrible. There have been several reports and incidents of Muslims being tortured and brutally beaten in China. The world needs to see what China is doing to control the Muslim population.
China is leaving no stone unturned to torture and abuse millions of Muslims at home and at the same time, it is protecting Islamic terror groups. The global countries are opposed to China’s beliefs and ideologies. China was in the receiving end when it repeatedly voted against declaring Jaish-e-Mohammad chief Masood Azhar, who claimed responsibility for the February 14 Pulwama terror attack, a global terrorist.
It is indeed very sad news for the Islamic community living in China as well as for all Muslim people living all over the world. It also hurts the sentiments of the Islamic community living in China. The way Mosques (Masjid) are being destroyed and used as a toilet in China, the day will not be far when all Mosques will get vanished and no one will be able to find a single Masjid in China. Even today, Muslims are experiencing a nightmare in China as they are being tortured, raped, attacked.
