The small city of Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh is all set for the grand opening of the Ram temple
The invitation has been sent to around 175 guests on a one-to-one basis. The guests include Prime Minister Narendra Modi, RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel, and over 135 saints from various traditions across India.
Ever since the event was announced, security has been beefed up in Ayodhya with increased police presence. No mobile phones, cameras or electronic devices would be allowed to be carried inside the temple site by any of the guests. The guests will not be issued any vehicle passes and would have to park their vehicles 250 feet away and walk to the temple site. Taking things up a notch, the invitation card sent to the select guests contains an interesting security feature.
Each invitation contains a special “one time” security code. This invitation code would be checked by security personnel upon the entry of each of the guests. Champat Rai, General Secretary of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust said in a statement to media today that upon the entry of the guests, first a security personnel would check the code before they are permitted inside with a register, once they enter the venue, they will be allowed to enter only after the police swipes the invitation with their device. The guests would be able to use this code only once to enter the function. If any of the guests step out of the function, they will not be permitted to renter the venue using the same invitation card.
