Union Public Service Commission is one of the toughest exams to crack in India. However, the aspiring minds are coming through with flying colours by attaining good marks. Had it not been for their hard work, grit and determination, the bright candidates would not have become proud IAS, IPS or IRS officers today.
They say ‘Failures are the stepping stones towards success’ and the inspiring K Jayaganesh justifies each word of this phrase. Many people hesitate to appear for the second attempt if they fail the civil services exam and of course, there will be some aspirants who will be willing to appear for the second time or maybe third time as well.
Have you seen a person appearing for the seventh time and cracking it in his last attempt? Then K Jayaganesh’s story is one that needs to be told. This is an inspiring story for all those who have failed in an examination and after reading this, it will certainly give you the much-needed boost to perform well even after failures.
K Jayaganesh’s story teaches us grit, determination and to not give up no matter how hard the situation is. Well, it took him seven attempts to finally crack the UPSC Civil Services examination
Hailing from Vinavamangalam of Tamil Nadu’s Vellore, K Jayaganesh comes from the economically backward sections of the society. After he failed in the first attempt, he tried again and again. He didn’t give up despite missing out on six times. However, in the end, he managed to crack the exam and came through with flying colours.
He pursued engineering and also worked as a waiter later.
Despite repeated failures, he didn’t lose hope and confidence as he cleared the CSE in 2008 with AIR-156 in his seventh attempt.
In a competitive world, where people sweat it out to give absolutely everything to crack the exam, only very few have touched the pinnacle of success. Some who fail to clear would give up, whereas others like K Jayaganesh with ‘never give up’ attitude set a great example by clearing at final attempt.
