The recovery rate of patients in India has improved to 41.6% — the highest so far. According to the data released by the ministry of home and family welfare, 71,106 people have been discharged from the hospital after recovery so far.
India is the world’s first country to have increased its recovery rate of Covid-19 patients by 41.6%, whereas Spain has improved its recovery rate to 27.12%. The recovery rate of corona patients in France is 22.11%. In Italy, it is 16.91%. The recovery rate of patients suffering from Covid-19 disease in Russia and the US is respectively 12.35% and 3.17%.
In a way, India has got the highest percentage of the recovery rate of Covid-19 patients in the world. The total number of coronavirus cases in the country has crossed 1.65 lakh. The death toll in India increased to 4,633. India’s mortality rate stood at nearly 3%, one of the lowest in the world.
“When the first lockdown started, then the recovery rate was around 7.1%. The recovery rate during the second lockdown was 11.42%, which further rose to 26.59%, ” Lav Agarwal, joint secretary, health ministry said.
Maharashtra has become the most affected state by the coronavirus disease in India followed by Tamil Nadu, Delhi, Gujarat. The total number of coronavirus cases in Maharashtra has crossed 57,000. The state recorded the highest coronavirus cases in India.
In recent times, India emerged as the 9th worst-hit country by coronavirus pandemic in the world. But it should be noticed that the country has so far reported a healthy recovery rate and low death rate compared to the other countries in the world.
