In yet another heart-wrenching incident, another Hindu saint was brutally attacked in Hoshiyarpur, Punjab. A group of attackers attempted to kill Swami Pushpendra Swarup at his ashram in Hoshiarpur.
The whole nation was shocked to hear shocking attack on Swami Pushpendra Swarup as he was assaulted in a brutal and barbaric manner, which reminds us of the Palghar mob lynching incident in which three men including two sadhus were mercilessly lynched to death by a mob of 200 people in Maharashtra’s Palghar district.
This is truly unacceptable by any means and this needs to stop. Sadhus have never seen such mutilation in their life as they have been targeted amid lockdown. Swami Pushpendra Swarup was reportedly stabbed with sharp weapons by unidentified goons and he was rushed to a hospital nearby. We are leaving it to your imagination as to how these Hindu Sadhus faced such type of brutal attack in recent times.
Replying to a query by Union Minister Som Prakash, Punjab police tweeted that Hoshiarpur police registered a case and an investigation has been launched in connection with the case.
Palghar mob lynching incident came to light only 2 days after clips shot by some of the attackers went viral on social media. The deceased men, in the incident, were identified as Sushilgiri Maharaj, Chikne Maharaj Kalpavriksha Giri and Nilesh Telwade.
In the video clip, the angry mob around 200 people was in no mood to listen to them while they were constantly trying to plead with them. When police personnel intervened to rescue them, the agitated mob started assaulting cops as well.
Millions of people in the country condemned the Palghar mob lynching incident. While Republic TV founder Arnab Goswami raised questions on Congress President Sonia Gandhi for being silence on mob lynching. Later, the editor and his wife were attacked by two unknown persons for targeting Sonia Gandhi while they were driving home from their studios in Lower Parel.
Goswami held Congress responsible for the attack and he said that he will keep on raising questions against Congress for not speaking on the lynching happened in Maharashtra’s Palghar district.
