In a shocking development, a three-year-old child lost his life in Bihar’s Jehanabad on April 10 after hospital authorities allegedly denied ambulance service to the child’s father. His father rushed him to the hospital on his shoulders where doctors declared him brought dead.
The father alleged that city’s government hospital denied an ambulance service for the ailing child. It has been learnt that the child was suffering from coronavirus and he was required to be admitted to the hospital as early as possible. Therefore, the Child’s father called for the ambulance but the hospital authority did not send an ambulance for the ailing child. In a way, it is a failure of the healthcare administration which showed negligence.
Speaking on this, District Magistrate of Jehanabad, Navin Kumar, said that he was not aware of the incident, however, action would be taken if found true. “I am not aware of the incident, however, if such an incident has taken place, action will be taken” said Kumar.
The healthcare management should take strict action against those who refused to provide ambulance service for the child. Victim’s mother broke down after hearing the death of her child.
