Farmer’s daughter Taranpreet Kaur is Punjab topper
Dreams can be translated into reality if the dreamer has that indomitable will, drive and spark to surge a person on until the goal is attained. Taranpreet Kaur hogged the limelight as she became the state topper of Punjab by securing an overall score of 497 out of 500 in her CBSE class 10 exams.
Interestingly, she is also the all-India third rank holder. She set an epitome of hard work, determination and belief. Taranpreet Kaur is a student of Broadway Public School at Manal village of the Barnala district in Punjab. She not only made the state proud but also made India proud as well.
She chose to pursue humanities for her UG studies with maths, political science and economics as the combination as reported by The Indian Express reported.
“It is unbelievable. Though I was sure of getting 95 plus, more than 99 per cent is a dream come true for me. My paternal uncle, who shifted to Canada about six months back, used to motivate me often. Apart from this, my teachers used to guide me wherever I needed them. I did self-study as it is not easy to get a tuition teacher in a village. Also, I never felt the need for the same,” she added.
Taranpreet’s father who is a farmer owns around 16 acres of land. Talking about her result and performance, he said, “I had no idea what Taranpreet was studying, though I was always concerned she should get a good education. She is free to follow her dreams the way she likes.”
Taran is preparing for the UPSC exams and dreams to be an IAS Officer, according to a post by Nyoooz.
Farmer’s son Sawan Raj Bharti becomes Bihar Topper
Sawan Raj Bharti became the talk of the town after he became Bihar topper by securing an overall score of 97.2 %, Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) announced the result for Class 10th examination on Saturday.
Yes, Sawan Raj Bharti of Simultala Awasiya Vidyalaya (SAV) in Jamui has topped BSEB matric examination 2019. Sawan said that he already set high standards for himself to achieve big in life as he was extra motivated to become Bihar topper.
Now that it’s a dream-come-true moment for him and his next mission is to crack the Union Public Service Commission exam in future. When asked about his success, he said he couldn’t keep eyes off the book as he spent 15 hours studying daily and as a result, it was easy for him to get the results that he wanted. He accomplished his mission to become the state topper.
The topper hails from a village- Rajaun in the Banka district and has been living in a residential government school since class 9. He is the son of a farmer. He secured 486 out of 500 marks in the board exam.
“I studied for 15 hours daily,” Sawan was quoted as saying by Hindustan Times. Sawan Raj Bharti’s story tells us that when you work hard with utmost interest to achieve the goal, you are destined to achieve the goal.
