While the entire nation is under complete lockdown in order to curb the coronavirus pandemic, Hundreds of Muslims reached Bhogaon Mosque in Mainpuri, Uttar Pradesh to offer Namaz (Prayer).
Upon receiving information about the alleged gathering at Masjid, a police team reached the spot and asked them to perform Namaz at home to avoid social gathering.
But the crowd refused to perform prayer from home due to which a clash broke out between Muslim people and Police. Later, extra police forces were sent to bring the situation under control.
The incident took place at the Bhogaon Mosque in Mainpuri on 25 March. On Wednesday, when the police Inspector received information that a large number of people had gathered at the Bhogaon mosque to break lockdown rules, police immediately rushed to the site.
When police requested people to open the door of the Mosque, the people of Muslim society got angry and turned down their request. Police tried their best to enter the mosque, but they did not let them enter. Eventually, they clashed with the police.
At a time when the rest of the world is avoiding leaving home in the current outbreak of coronavirus, Muslim people are adamant that they will go to Mosque and perform Namaz in crowd.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has urged his countrymen to avoid social gatherings as part of precautionary measures to contain coronavirus outbreak, but people outside Bhogaon Masjid believe that Allah is always there to protect them from the epidemic.
Scientists are trying their best to find a complete cure to combat the fast-spreading disease. China too is finding it tough to bring the widespread infectious disease under control. People outside Bhogaon Masjid, on the other hand, believe that Allah’s grace can treat the disease.
The novel coronavirus outbreak has now claimed the lives of over 19,000 people and infected more than 4 lakh people globally. By far, at least 15 deaths owing to COVID-19 have been confirmed in India and over 500 people have been infected with it.
Unfortunately, for now, there is no vaccination or cure available to help patients recover the deadly disease. So it is advised to take all possible precautions. People should avoid the area where coronavirus infection has been reported. Make sure that you keep yourself away from those who have coronavirus symptoms.
