In an attempt to support the employees from the LGBTQ+ community to help new parents, cancer patients and survivors, Tech Mahindra has now announced that it had added some productive initiatives to its Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) policy.
As part of the latest policy that has been approved the tech firm, now the same-sex couples will also be able to take as many as 12 weeks paid adoption leave, it added in a statement. Bereavement leave of as many as three days will also be granted to same-sex partners, it said.
The company went on to add saying that it would grant more time for employees in the first year of parenthood by letting himself more flexibility in its ‘Work from home’ option.
Company is also sincerely working towards creating an inclusive workplace where each and everyone can actually feel that one is an important part of the company. According to the company, support groups for employees like new parents, cancer patients and survivors, and fitness & lifestyle groups are also being created. Apart from this, LGBT committees have also been formed across geographies.
“These groups share stories of community members to the larger audience to create cultural assimilation and sensitize people. Tech Mahindra is also in the process of adding a gamification element to the ‘Diversity and Inclusion’ training to create a seamless and immersive experience for all employees,” the company added in a statement.
