Why do accidents occur? Is it due to carelessness? Yes, it is. A study found that ‘careless attitude’ is the major cause of accidents. Some accidents can be terrifying. It can happen to anybody at any place or at any time if not careful at the time of driving. The best way to prevent such accidents is to take as many precautions as possible.
In a recent incident, in China, a CCTV footage of car knocking down pedestrians on a zebra crossing has invited the wrath of social media users. In the video that is doing the rounds, a mother and her son are taking the crosswalk when an SUV without even caring about pedestrians drives past them and knocks them down.
When the driver approaches near zebra crossing (road painted with broad white stripes, where vehicles must stop if pedestrians wish to cross) he/she should decelerate and look at both sides as priority goes to the pedestrian. The driver should be careful and he must give way and stop his vehicle.

Soon after the accident, the car driver initially hesitates to come out of the vehicle. After seeing the kid approaching the man in anger, the latter leaves the vehicle and tries to help the injured lady into his car to take her to a hospital.
This incident happened in Chongqing, China, and the police found out that the driver was held responsible for what happened. It was not an intentional act by the driver as he was most probably distracted while driving.
