In shocking news, a six-year-old girl student was allegedly kidnapped, raped and strangled to death with her own school belt on Sunday. The police said that the girl went missing on Saturday in Rajasthan’s Tonk district was spotted lying dead on Sunday.
The girl’s body was recovered from bushes in a remote area near her village Khetadi. The police went on to add saying that liquor bottles, snacks and bloodstains were also identified at the murder spot.
As per the police, there was a sports competition at the girl’s school which was held on Saturday and moments after the event ended, she went missing.
Her family also began searching for her when she did not arrive home by 3 pm but much to their heart-break, it was only her blood-stained body that was discovered near the village this morning.
Protesting the brutal crime in the state, people turned up in numbers at the spot, as police and forensic teams arrived on being notified about the body’s discovery.
The girl’s body was taken elsewhere for a post-mortem examination as required facilities were not available in the village.
Superintendent of Police Adarsh Sidhu stated based on the initial impression that, it is a rape and murder case. “We are investigating the case to trace the accused. We have formed special teams,” he added.
