A gang of carjackers abducted a man from Mohan Garden in the national capital. The victim was hailing from Shimla and as soon as he was found to be missing, his brother reported it to the police station.
As per the reports, the police received a call from the victim’s brother adding that four men in a car abducted his brother from Janakpuri and the car had ‘high lander’ labelled on it.
After receiving the call, Delhi Police sprung into action and much to everyone’s surprise, they caught up with the kidnappers’ car within 7 minutes, as it was stuck in a traffic jam. The car was spotted near a red signal in Uttam Nagar.
The kidnappers have eventually realised that there is no route to escape from the Delhi traffic. However, they tried their best and three of them managed to escape through the jam on Najafgarh road after deboarding from the car. One of the kidnappers was caught by the police and finally, the victim was rescued.
Reportedly, the arrested kidnapper is identified as Ravi, and he is a local resident of Uttam Nagar. The victim is 21-year-old Rijwal. He told the police that the kidnappers had snatched his car keys before taking him to his vehicle parked around an institute in Janakpuri.
The victim’s car was somehow recovered along with Rs 1,650, that kidnappers robbed him of. A case has reportedly been registered under various sections of the Indian Penal Code
