Cyclist Ronaldo Singh made the entire nation proud as he won a gold medal in the men’s junior Keirin event at the Asian Track Cycling Championships being held at Incheon in South Korea. The Youth salutes Ronaldo Singh for his epic achievement.
Besides Ronaldo, James Singh won a bronze medal in the event. The men’s and women’s junior sprint team settled for two bronze medals.
Sports Authority of India (SAI) took to the Twitter platform and congratulated all the athletes. “Ronaldo Singh won the gold medal in men’s junior Keirin event at the Asian Track Cycling C’ships in Incheon, Korea. James Singh got bronze in the same event. India also secured 2 bronze medals in men’s and women’s Jr. sprint team. Congratulations to all.#KheloIndia.”
Interestingly, this is Ronaldo’s fifth gold in the competition. Ronaldo, who was a member of the Junior World Champion team had previously won gold medals in the sprint, 1 km time trial and team sprint junior events.
In the Karin event, Ronaldo got the better of Kazakhstan’s Arlanbeck and Alexandra Safarov, who won silver and bronze medal respectively.
After winning the fourth gold medal for India, Ronaldo added that this is the best performance of his career as he believes that he is getting better after each event.
