Ever since the Modi government introduced the new Motor Vehicle Act, there have been several instances of violators being challaned huge fines.
Many have vented out their anger on social media for the hefty fines they have already paid but finally, they have to follow the new rule. However, a shocking incident was witnessed in Uttar Pradesh after a video of policemen thrashing a man for an ‘alleged traffic violation’.
After the video went viral, two Uttar Pradesh Police personnel were suspended with immediate effect.
The Superintendent of Police, Dharamvir Singh had suspended the personnel soon after a video of the violent incident went viral on social media, as per a release issued by the police PRO cell.
The two police personnel- Sub-Inspector Devendra Mishra and chief constable Mahendra Prasad, are currently stationed at Sakarpar police post of Kesraha police station here.
In the video, the two personnel were seen slapping and abusing a bike driver while a child with him looked on with fear in eyes as the child stood near the bike and meanwhile, the two pulled the man on the road while smashing and slapping him badly.
As soon as the video went viral, netizens vented out their frustration and anger on the incident urging UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to act immediately.

Previously, a violent incident was recorded in June this year when a Sikh auto driver and his son were terribly thrashed by Delhi Police personnel after their vehicle allegedly bumped into the police van in New Delhi’s Mukherjee Nagar area.
After this act, three cops were suspended with immediate effect. The video of the incident spread like wildfire on social media with people demanding justice for the beaten men.
