He then hugged and consoled ISRO chairman Dr K Sivan who broke into tears as the Prime Minister shook his hands with him after his powerful speech. PM Modi also added that scientists are an inspiration for the entire nation.
“Science is never satisfied with the results. There are no failures in Science, only experiments and efforts. The inherent quality of science is to strive. Results can never stop Science and scientists. This is our culture. Science is the greatest contributer of knowledge. (Gyaan ka saathi vigyaan hi hai), the Prime Minister said. PM Modi also said that the country is proud of the scientists. He wished them the best.
“Your dreams are higher than us. Your attempts have the strength to touch success. And therefore I can say this with full faith in your will power. I am no here to give you advice. I am here to get inspiration from you. You are a sea of inspiration and a live example of inspiration. Therefore, this is the moment of pride where the scientific mind converts depression into immense hope. I wish you all the best,” he added.
PM Narendra Modi said that ISRO is am epic source of inspiration: “As important as the final result is the journey and the efforts. I can proudly say that efforts were worth it and so was the journey. Our team worked hard and travelled far and those teachings will always remain with us. We will look back on the journey and effort with great satisfaction.
The learning from today will make us stronger and better. There will be a new dawn and a brighter tomorrow very soon. It is our culture to work hard without worrying about the result. Our history of thousand years has proven several times that we don’t stop when the problem arrives. ISRO is also an example of our strong will power.”
Last but not least, PM Modi’s message to ISRO scientists is: “To our scientists, I want to say, India is with you. You are exceptional professionals. You have given your best always and will give us several more in the future. True to your nation, you ventured to a place where no one has ever done before. “Aaplog makhan pe lakir karne wale nahi, pathhar pe lakir karnawale hain”. You came as close as you could. Stay steady and look ahead.”
