Indian athletes make our country proud, let’s take a moment to appreciate the talents

It is raining gold medals for India and our athletes are giving everything to make the country proud. As the athletes are winning medals in Poland, foreign media is praising them.

National record holder Muhammed Anas sealed the big deal for India as he won gold in men’s 200m race at the Kutno Athletics Meet in Poland on Sunday.

Anas won the race as he clocked 21.18 seconds while Noah Nirmal Tom settled for Silver medal in 21.66 seconds.

M P Jabir clinched the gold in men’s 400m hurdles in 50.21 seconds while Jithin Paul finished third in 52.26 secs.

Indians also swept the women’s 400m race through P Saritaben (52.77 secs), Sonia Baishya (53.73 secs) and R Vithya (53.73 secs) respectively

India’s sporting future is in safe hands considering the fact that the athletes stamped their authority in their respective fields. On top of that, Indian track and field athletes clinched whopping 19 medals, including 12 gold, in the Qasanov Memorial Meet which ended on a good note for our athletes here on Sunday.

National record holder and long jumper M Sreeshankar chaired the campaign with a gold-winning performance of 7.88m, his national record stands at 8.20m.

Mohd. Salahuddin also showcased his mettle in men’s triple jump event with a personal best effort of 16.64m and ended up winning gold for India while compatriot Mohd. Zuber bagged the Silver in 16.21m.

Sahil Silwal added one more gold to country’s kitty by clinching the men’s javelin throw event with a personal best effort of 77.40m while Rohit Yadav took the silver by projecting the spear to a distance of 75.36m.

Other notable gold winners are Harsh Kumar (400m), Mohammed Afsal (800m), Ajay Kumar Saroj (1500m), Gagandeep Singh (discus throw), Archana (100m), Lili Das (1500m), Navjeet Kaur Dhillon (discus throw), Navjeet Kaur (shot put) and women’s 4x100m relay.
