In a sensational development under the Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Bill that has been sanctioned by the government, people who block the ambulance will have to pay a heavy price of Rs 10,000 fine according to News 18 Tech and Auto.
The Motor Vehicle Act has come updated with many changes, including a huge fine for drunk driving.
After the government took a significant step, people are full of praises. How many times have we seen patients in serious condition have to wait if the road is blocked by fleet of vehicles? Overloading of vehicles – Rs 20,000
Over Speeding – Rs 1000 to Rs 2000
Driving without insurance – Rs 2000
Dangerous driving – Rs 5000
Drunken driving – Rs 10,000
No helmet while driving? Then pay Rs 1000 and also 3-months license suspension
Disobedience of the orders of higher officials – Rs 2000
Unauthorised use of vehicles without a licence – Rs 5000
Driving despite disqualification – Rs 10,000
Driving without seat belts – Rs 1000
