In massive news, Jagat Prakash Nadda has been appointed the working president of the Bharatiya Janata Party. If sources are to be believed, the significant decision was taken in a BJP parliamentary board meeting which was led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, current BJP chief Amit Shah, senior leaders like Sushma Swaraj, Ram Lal among others.
Speaking on Jagat Prakash Nadda’s appointment, Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said, “Amit Shah handled the responsibility of being BJP chief successfully for five years. Now that he has become home minister, he [Amit Shah] requested someone else take charge of the party. BJP Parliamentary board has selected JP Nadda as the working president.”
Jagat Prakash Nadda is an experienced politician from Himachal Pradesh and will be the working president of the saffron party, Rajnath Singh announced on Monday.
The 58-year-old Nadda, who was a former union health minister, will hold the post for 6 months and the Home Minister Amit Shah will continue to work as the national president of the party.
