The Central Board of Secondary Education has announced the class 12 board exam results on May 2 (Thursday) on the official website ‘cbseresults.nic.in’. People across the nation were eagerly waiting to know who topped the nation.
Hansika Shukla from DPS, Meerut road, Ghaziabad and Karishma Arora from SD Public School, Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh topped the nation as they scored 499 marks out of 500 each. The joint-toppers scored 100/100 in Hindi, Psychology, History and Music and missed just 1 mark in English.
Media gave non-stop coverage to them but missed out on praising Arpit Maheswari who came third in all-India ranks as he scored 497 marks and became Science topper in Class 12 CBSE Board exams.
No offence to joint-toppers but Arpit Maheswari proved that he was cut above the rest in scoring wonderful marks in tough subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics.
Arpit studied in Delhi Public School Meerut Road Ghaziabad Uttar Pradesh and he wishes to pursue Engineering. The Youth wishes Arpit Maheswari all the very best for his future endeavours.
The pass percentage of the class 12 board exam result is said to be 86.70 per cent. The region with the highest pass percentage is Thiruvananthapuram at 98.2% followed by Chennai at 92.93% and Delhi at 91.87%.
According to the reports in the Times of India, girls in previous years have performed much better than the boys.
Gaurangi Chawla of Nirmal Ashram school, Rishikesh Aishwarya of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Rai Bareilly and Bhavya from Jind, Haryana have all scored 498 out of 500 took the second place. 18 students take the third position who scored 497/500 and out of the 18 students, 11 of them are girls.
G Khartik Balaji from Chennai, Vanshika Bhagat (Meerut), Parth Saini (Solan), Veeraj Jindal (delhi), Mehak Talwar (Delhi), Ananya Goel (Meerut), Ayushi Upadhyay (Lucknow), Rubani Cheema (Haryana), Dishank Jindal (Chandigarh), Divya Agarwal (Meerut), Shreya Pandey (Haldwani), Garima Sharma (Noida), Piyush Kumar Jha (Dehradun), Ibadat Singh Bakshi (Noida), Tisha Gupta (Rajasthan), Ghaziabad’s Aishna Jain, Arpit Maheshwari and Pragya Kharkwal have bagged the third rank, scoring 497 out of 500 marks.
Overall, 3114831 candidates were registered and out of which 12,87,359 appeared for class 12th exam.
