In what is deemed as a touching gesture towards his constituents, PM Modi, on Thursday while passing through Sonarpura, in Varanasi, on his mega roadshow willingly stopped and wholeheartedly accepted a shawl from an old supporter in the crowds.
The video depicts the Prime Minister’s procession pass through a busy streer in Sonarpura while the local area chief welcomes the PM Modi on the loudspeaker.
The video then shows an old man gripping a silver shawl, waiting impatiently for the PM. As PM Narendra Modi, passes through the street, the old man gestures with his shawl, to draw Prime Minister’s attention.
After spotting it, PM Modi signals the man to throw the shawl. Then the packed crowd assist the man and pass the shawl to PM Modi, who wears it instantly and then proceeds on his mega roadshow. This heartwarming incident got huge cheers from the surrounding crowds.
PM Modi who reached Varanasi started his mega roadshow at 5:15 PM with the garlanding of Banaras Hindu University founder Madan Mohan Malaviya’s statue.
Prime Minister, while travelling passed through a scores of supporters who came to see him and advanced on his 7 km long roadshow from the Malaviya statue to the Dashashwamedha Ghat.
