Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) East Delhi candidate and former cricketer- Gautam Gambhir is now the richest candidate with total assets worth Rs 145.15 crore, including Rs 8.15 crore in his wife Natasha’s name.
Gautam Gambhir who will be making his debut as a politician owns BMW 530D and an Audi Q5, besides Maruti SX4 and Baleno, Mahindra Bolero and a KTM bike.
In the 2017-18 fiscal, Gambhir earned a whopping Rs 12.4 crore from his business and personal assignments.
BJP candidate Manoj Tiwari has an overall movable and immovable assets worth over Rs 24 crore, a hike over Rs 4.33 crore from 2014, as per his poll affidavit.
Then comes Tiwari who is the second richest candidate in Delhi where his main source of income are his singing and acting projects besides rental income and salary. He owns an interesting car collection like the Audi Q7, a Mercedes Benz E280, a Fortuner, Honda City and Innova.
Aam Aadmi Party’s Raghav Chadha, who is also a candidate from South Delhi, is known to be the poorest of all candidates with overall assets of 16.47 Lakh. 30-year-old Chadha, a chartered accountant, is the youngest candidate in the national capital.
Former CM and Congress candidate Sheila Dikshit, who applied her nomination from the North-East Delhi Lok Sabha constituency on Tuesday had declared personal assets worth over Rs 4.92 crore. In fact, she is also the oldest candidate.
Congress candidate for South Delhi named Vijender Singh declared movable and immovable assets estimated at Rs 3.57 crore and Rs 5.05 crore respectively.
