Cricketer Ravindra Jadeja’s wife Rivaba Jadeja joined the ruling BJP in Jamnagar on March 4. Rivaba’s decision to join BJP comes months after she and her husband Jadeja met Prime Minister Modi at his official residence in New Delhi.
Just a month after Ravindra Jadeja’s wife joined the BJP, Jadeja’s father and sister joined the opposition party- Congress in Gujarat in the presence of party leader and Patidar quota spearhead Hardik Patel.
Jadeja’s father named Anirudhsinh, and sister named Nainaba joined the Congress at an election rally in Kalavad city of Jamnagar district.
For your information, 5 months ago, Ravindra Jadeja’s wife was roped in as the chief of women’s wing of Karni Sena, a Kashtriya community outfit that had protested the release of Hindi movie ‘Padmavaat’. Last year, she was involved in a scuffle with a police constable in Jamnagar after her car inadvertently hit his motorbike. She blamed policeman of assaulting her.
Rivaba who married Ravindra Jadeja in the year 2016 has a daughter.
Polls to all the 26 Lok Sabha seats in the respective state will be held in the third phase of the general election on April 23.
