In recent news, Pakistani Senator Mushahid Hussain Sayed added fuel to the fire by calling the Pulwama terror attack as “Pakistan’s finest hour” in the last 20 years following the 1998 nuclear tests. The country’s senator Sayed’s was speaking at a team meeting organised by Institute of Strategic Studies in Islamabad.
At the meeting, Mushahid Hussain Sayed said, “What happened in Pulwama in February, in my view, was Pakistan’s finest hour after the nuclear tests of 1998.” When he called Pulwama terror attack Pakistan’s “finest hour”, the others agreed with him.

The Pakistani senator went on to praise country’s Prime Minister Imran Khan for his astute leadership skills following the terror attack which killed 44 CRPF paramilitary troopers in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
The Pakistani senator said that they took the decisive steps at the right place and at the right time. According to him, this is Pakistan’s diplomatic victory. “Everybody was on the same page, we took the right decisions at the time and in the right manner. And then we scored internationally,” he quoted.
Hussain Sayed also lauded the media and country’s Army for standing united. “Everybody in the country handled the matter remarkably well,” he said.
“How it was handled by all, whether it’s the political leadership, the government, the Opposition, military leadership, the media, everybody strict a common cord and I would certainly say this was our finest hour.”
