As many as 19 people were badly injured in an unexpected grenade attack at the busy SRTC bus stand in Jammu on Thursday. Two people are in serious condition right now. This blast comes exactly 3 weeks after the dastardly terror attack in Pulwama. The injured ones were immediately taken to the hospital.
“The explosion has caused injuries to approximately 18 people, all have been shifted to hospital,” IGP Jammu MK Sinha was quoted as saying by ANI.
According to the police, the grenade had been positioned under a bus at a bus stand. The officer said that most of them injured in an accident are bus drivers and conductors. However, it is still not clear if there were people inside the bus or not. So far, no casualties have been reported.
“I thought it was a tyre burst. It was a big blast. The locals took the injured to the hospital in an ambulance,” an eyewitness told news agency ANI.

Shockingly, this is not the first time that this blast has happened. This is the third grenade attack by terrorists in the heart of the city since May last year.
“The police is working on all the leads. We are collecting evidence and we will hunt them down,” a police officer told reporters.
The blast comes a week after the IAF conducted air strikes on the biggest terror camp of Jaish-e Mohammad in Pakistan’s Balakot.
